Albany hadn't been seeing much of New York City lately. This wasn't unusual. They were both busy, and it wasn't like they were the type of lovers who hung on each other's every word and action. What they did was their own business and Albany appreciated this arrangement. Still, there were those times when he just felt like seeing the other city, so when some paperwork came up that needed to be delivered there, Albany had no problems bringing it to the blond personally.

He went to Matthew's appartment and knocked on the door a few times. He knew it was most likely unlocked, but it was still polite to give some warning before he entered. Albany opened the door a bit and peeked in, looking to see if anyone was home.

Matthew, are you in?

There are very few things that get an intense emotional response from Scott King. He's usually able to keep himself civil and controlled, preferably neutral, because that's they way you get things done right. Unfortunately, two New York State Senators seem to have located the small, obscure area that his beserk button is located in.

Three days ago two Democratic Sentators turned their backs on their party and sided with the republican's to vote on the current Senate Leader. Needless to say, the capitol has been in an uproar. There's the legality of the vote to consider, the reasons why the Senators turned Rogue (which is looking more and more like dirty money), and what should be done to fix the situation. The Senate is under lock and key right now until a solution has been reached.

This is a huge embrassment for Scott. He's always had so much pride in the fact that he is THE New York State Capitol. He's rich in history, art, technology, and he'd be damned if he didn't feel pride in the government he ran. Now it's all gone to hell. He's still a little embarrassed about what happened with Elliot Spitzer last year, and now this... Not only did it add a mile to his workload, but it made him question just how capable he was. Along with the Senate, he's shut himself off until this reaches a conclusion. He won't show his face to anyone at this point.

(I'm not expecting anyone to respond to this, though you can if you like. Albany just needed to get this off his chest.)

I don't remember scheduling any appointments today...

Albany turned back to NYC with an exasperated look on his face and rubbed his temples in slight annoyance.
